JBC alumnus, Frank Resma, recently debuted as an ABS-CBN news reporter in its Balitang Middle East Program.  Asked about his message for all of us, he said: "As we continue to strive for excellence, with the distinct values of a La Sallian, soar high and any dream is within your reach." We look forward for more of Frank's report from the Middle East.

The DLSJBC Scholarship Assistance Fund

 buskolar

As an expression of faith in service to human need, De La Salle John Bosco College initiates the Scholarship Assistance Fund to offer opportunities for pupils/students who possess the intellectual ability for academic advancement but do not have sufficient financial resources to acquire quality Lasallian education.  Through this program, the school hopes to develop the spirit of communion in mission by reaching out to its alumni, parents, school, workers, students and other generous benefactors who can give financial assistance for the realization of making Lasallian education accessible to all especially the marginalized.

It is time for us, “taga-busko” to give back to our dear Alma Mater who have nurtured us into who we are today.  The actual cost of sending a child in grade school & high school is P14,000  while for college is P12,000.  Amounts ranging for as low as P500 can make the scholars’ dreams real.  You may contact This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it should you wish to make a change or call +63 (86) 853-5235 / +63 (86) 853-3415.  For check donations, please indicate payable to De La Salle John Bosco College – Scholarship Assistance Fund and send to the following address:

Ophelia Fugoso now a De La Salle Brother

From Lasallian.ph :

The Institute Letters of Affiliation were handed to Ms. Ophelia Fugoso 9 February 2009 on the occasion of De La Salle John Bosco College’s commemoration of its second year as a District school and on the Feast of St. Br. Miguel Febres Cordero. Brothers from Mindanao and Manila, including Feny Alburo AFSC, attended the ceremony. On hand to witness the event was Ophel’s family as well as students. faculty and staff of DLSJBC.

Ms. Ophel has been working with Brothers since 1969 when she first taught at Andres Soriano Memorial School. Br. Thomas Cannon transferred in her in 1976 to Jose Soriano Learning Center and then to John Bosco in 1982 where she has since been. Her involvement with us deepened further when she was asked to supervise a number of schools in the Mindanao area. She was appointed Superintendent of Supervised Schools in 2005. She has been a member of the Lasallian Partners Council since 2003 and has been effectively bringing in the Mindanao perspective into discussions concerning Lasallian Family Formation.
