Chique sings(Lifted from the blog of Joey Climaco , with permission)

i am quite lucky to have friends who have unbelievable talent. and tonight, i feel that that luck has gone up a step higher. i would like you guys to meet chique arcilla. my kababayan from surigao del sur. we were in the same grade school and though she was a batch younger, we knew her because she always topped the honors list. she also went to pisay diliman, and since there were only three of us from surigao in pisay during those days we became each other’s sort of guardians.

i used to be amazed of the fact that she can play the violin. and then tonight i found a recording of her version of stevie wonders’ overjoyed, accompanied by her Waking Up The Sunrise bandmate Tim Cada. check it out here:

Hands up ako sa galing! a long way from her taripe drive days in bosco mangagoy surigao del sur hahaha! a toast to you chique for sharing your wonderful talent with the rest of us. keep on singing ’til the world becomes a better place.

btw, i found out she moonlights as a singer for events. check out her website at http://chiquemakesmusic.multiply.com/ . photo above courtesy of her website.

Rex's Note: Chique is the daughter of aJBC staff, Mrs. Arcilla (forgot her first name. She lives just across the great wall at the back of the high school building. Their house is our source of tambis.
